The Airport’s award-winning Grand Hyatt DFW recently completed a $13 Million renovation. The renovation enhanced all 298 guest rooms, meeting spaces, the hotel lobby and lounge, as well as Moka, the hotel coffee bar. The new, contemporary color scheme and gallery-like feel lends itself to high-end art pieces by local artist, Richard Bettinger. Bettinger, who invented and trademarked the Decompressionism style, has pieces featured in the hotel public areas, as well as dramatic floor-to-ceiling pieces in the meeting rooms. Touches of granite, wood and leather provide overnight guests with an upscale feel. The new minimalistic bedding eliminates the use of decorative pillows and bedspreads and each room now features convenient, bed-side touchscreen panels that allow guests to easily control the A/C, lighting and window shades. Energy saving features in guest rooms include: a window shade system that automatically opens and closes when guests enter and exit the room; in-room lighting, a combination of LED and compact fluorescent bulbs, that power on and off upon exiting the room. Guests or visitors looking to grab a bite to eat will enjoy the new grab-and-go counter at the 24-hour Moka coffee café. Whether it’s early in the morning or late at night, Moka offers premium illy Café beverages and breakfast, lunch and late-night meals such as pastries, sandwiches, quiches and desserts. The Grand Hyatt is known for its upscale accommodations, chic design, friendly staff and unique, globally inspired cuisine. These attributes, combined with the recent renovation takes the Grand Hyatt DFW to new heights. For additional information on the Grand Hyatt DFW, please click here.
